Rewrite The Lord of the Flies

If you were to rewrite The Lord of the Flies in today's world, where would you have it set, who would the characters be, and what would the outcome be?

If I had to rewrite The Lord of the Flies in today's world I would also have it set on an island and the characters would be many different people of different ethnicities and the outcome would be sort of the same as the original.

If I rewrote the story, it would take place in an airplane with a bad engine and only 50 parachutes. The characters would be many people who already know the plane is going to crash and that all of them are going to die. The outcome would be similar to “Lord of the Flies,” but in my story people kill each other to obtain the parachutes.

A present day Lord of the Flies written by me would take place on an island off the coast of the middle east.
The change that i would make in the characters would be the races. I would like to emphasize on racism and i'd put some girls in the story. Maybe some lesbians and homosexuals.
I would basically make the story a lot more drastic and adress a lot more of today's problems. But the same idea of a Jack and a Ralph and Piggy, Simon, and Roger too.
Its a cool idea, i think i might actually do that...

If I were to rewrite "The Lord of the Flies" in today's world the setting of the book would be in jail. And the characters would be from many ethnic groups that cause multiple crimes. The outcome would be somewhat like the original. There would be deaths and more gruesome activities.

If I had the choice to rewrite "The Lord of the Flies" I would have the whole beginning like the original. The only change would be that there is no edible food in the island. So, they would have to kill each other and eat each other. It would be a great book of how to survive the savages. And instead of a beast being the parachutist it would be the people. Not will it be about how to survive, but the story would be also really interesting.

If I were to rewrite The Lord of the Flies in today's world, I would have set it on a island as William Golding did or on a deserted island. The characters would be about twenty years old and I would have three people who are best friends. The outcome would be that each of them will start dying because as one person starts sacrificing their life, the rest would eat their meat in order to survive because the land they are in, there isn't any food. The last person, I would have him die of hunger.

If i were to rewrite The Lord of the Flies in today's world, I would have it take place in an island again so that there is no easy escape and they do indeed have to struggle to survive.
The characters would be girls since women are finally havin more of an impact on the world and gettin their ideas across, so then to show the distinction in that awesome change if i rewrite it it would be girls and boys.
The outcome would be that instead of Ralph finally deciding to fight back fire with fire, she for he would be a girl, would think about doing that before she lost most of the support and then there would be a more fair battle betwee them.
Just to show to what extent i believe kids would become savage nowadays I'd make the adults find them in the middle of this final battle. Because the rescuers came in look for por lost children its not a very great group, so the kids turn against them and they are taken as prisioners. I believe that more than 2 kids would die because I feel that if it goin to reflect today's world and it was a school trip place that crashed, there are very strong couples of people that well they would stick together. So, instead of only 2 kids dying, atleast four would die.
In the End the kids will finally decide to go back to society but those completely wild which would be Jack's tribe would decide to stay for they simply don't want to give up their freedom.

I if were to write The Lord of the Flies in today's world, I would still do it on an island and with the same character, but I would kind of change Ralph into a person that gets a long with piggy and is willing to defend him in anything no matter what. I would change the death of the people, instead of Simon dying I would put Jack. But Jack would not represent the symbol for Christ. The Outcome would be almost the same as the original, but instead of only the good people dying, I would also put the bad ones.

If I could rewrite this book, I would let only one of the boys know where all the food is. Naturally, he would tell the others. The problem is that the food he found was MREs from the plane crash, and there aren't enough to go around. Therefore, when word gets out about them, all the boys go apecrazy over getting control of food.
Plus, I'd throw just one girl in to see what kind of competition she would get.

Having the oportunity to rewrite this novel, I would try incorporating more problems which society currently faces.
The characters would include people from different race and gender, still trying to conserve the whole idea of discrimination.
The wanting of power would still bring many problems, and savagery would eventually develop throughout the story.

If I rewrote the book of the lord of the flies, I would make it in outer space. The story would be base on the astronauts being lost in the never ending universe – there (alive) for about 2 years. There, all of the protagonist would eventually loose hope or become crazy and worried. Apart from their oxygen recourses dying and running out, they are really far away from earth to actually being able to return – apart from the fuel which ran out – there is no way on being safe. In the end every single person would have had died by cannibalism and the separation of three groups. There would also be barbarisms in the story like lord of the flies. In the end only one person survived, and died of hunger. Years later the spaceship would be found, near earth again, and would be brought back to earth. When they open the spaceship, the people will find the truth of what happen on a supposedly friendly trip to discovery. They would find out on everything that happen – the death, the cannibalism, etc. – on video tapes and records of noises of the spaceship, were each person would tell their story like if it was a journal, during their living in the spaceship.

To tell the truth, i would keep it as it is because Golding did a brilliant job of it but i would change one thing.
I would make Ralph smarter and make him eliminate Jack as soon as he takes control so that there is no opposition and he can do whatever he wants and try and make him listen to the ideas of others more instead of being selfish and self centered.
An alternate ending could be that Jack had killed Ralph and had taken control long before Ralph could even make any orders about the signal fire.
