Jack tactics and gang tactics are similar in some ways. Gang leaders mistreat and betaay their comrades. Jack does something similar. At the beginning of the novel, he is very close to Ralph, but then he betrays him just to gain power in the island.

Jack's tactics are similar to terrorist and gang tactics because he forces some people to join upon pain of their life, and then they can't leave, again on pain of their life. He uses quick strikes never getting into a full fledged battle and he would always mark and claim his territory like a gang would.

Jack could in many ways be seen as a terrorist leader, and if he were alive today, he might be.
First of all Jack looks for weaknesses and takes advantage of them.
He makes sure he has people with him. Meaning he will go in a group, to make sure they have a bigger chance, and coming back to the weaknesses he goes for the strong people as team mates and manipulates the weak.
His tactic of ambushing is one used mainly by gangs, where they swarm in trapping their victim. Like Jack did with the pigs and attempted to do with Ralph.
Jack sets a territory, the rock castel place, and he fights to defends it. A gang would do the same, except that it is not "This is our street!" but "This is our fort!"

I agree with both Kevin and Suz. Jack's tactics are based on attacking the weak points of the target like some terrorist groups do today. Also, Jack offered the boys "fun" which was what they mostly wanted at that point of their lives. In contrast, many terrorist groups seduce people to join them by offering money or other resources that they desire.

Jack tactics and gang tactics are similar in some ways. They both terror in their reign for example, when Sam and Eric don’t want to join Jack group they are threatened. The only way to have things done is by killing instead of talking about the situations. They both always look for weakness to control there opponents and use there weaknesses as an advantage. Jack uses threats for people to join his group. In the other hand terrorist and gangs people come in their own or they are paid to join.

I agree with Ahra, Jack's tactics and the gang's tactis are similar because they both like the thrill of killing. Jack is able to control the group of boys and manipulates them into thinking things like Simon, for example, of being the beast and that the beast could be anybody because it could tak any shape, size, or form. Terrorists and gangs are similar to Jack because they also turn their people against others.

I agree with Ahra. Jack is like a terrorist and gang leader because he mistreats and betrays his comrades which was originaly Ralph. He just got close enough to learn all his weaknesses and learn how to attack him. He is like a terrorist also becuase the only reason he is able to impose any power and get things done is by using violence and ensuring through fear that no one betrays him though he may betray them. He also worried about getting the strongest fighters like Roger. He always thought with a mind that used violence as the first and really only reasource like when he think of the Rock Castle, "'What a plave for a fort!'...the diminishing pile was crowned by the last broken rock. Jack struck the near one with his fist and it grated sightly..Shove a palm trunk under that and if an enemy came...One heave,' cried Jack, exulting, 'and-wheee-!'" (106). He doesn't think of any arrangments or discussion and he uses torture. Jack's tacticts and his mind are those of a tyrant, a terrorist, a gangster.

Jack's tactics and the terrorist and gang tactics are similar in some ways. First of all, the terrorists and the gangs abuse their captured people. Jack tries to do it at the end of the story by chasing Ralph and if he would have gotten him, Ralph would be dead because Jack would have hunted him down. Second, both of them use violence and weapons against their captured people. They won't negotiate a lot, but they would just torture or even kill them. Last, both of them would use a secretive location to hide and get the people they want to capture. Or even, they may even have a plan of how they would capture the person/people as Jack did with Ralph at the end of the story. These are some of the ways that Jack's tactics and the terrorists and gang tactics are similar.

Many gangs across the world reflect the behaviors of their leaders and founders. Jack influences his followers and leads them to follow his cruel action and dimeanor.

Jack is kind of like a mobster/gangster/Chicago Outfit type of person because of the way he convinced everyone that his opponents were enemies. Using that, mob mentality, he got his sheep-like followers to ignore the rules of society, much like the anarchy of the Outfit, and takeout his opposers.

When it comes to terrorists, he did pretty much the same thing. However, this time, he did it from getting his weakest supporters to accept reality, and do what they would never do before-kill the innocent. Though they weren't radicals, they were willing to face massive consequences for their harsh actions.

I agree with Suz. He does take advantage of weaknesses he notices and i think that that is brilliant.
It is just like the terrorists that are fighting the united states. They use a huge weakness that the U.S. has and that is fear.
